Notre-Dame de Paris
Impressive monument, Notre Dame dominates all the religious architecture of Island-of-France. The building work starts in 1163 to be completed 200 years later (in 1345 precisely).
The exhaltation of the romantic Victor Hugo, through his novel "Notre Dame de Paris", made it possible the whole world to discover the cathedral.

What generally strikes the visitors it is the frontage made up of majestic doors and stained glasses in the shape of rosettes, but also these strange statues, among the saints, that one names commonly "gargouilles", and which give the feeling that they will fly away.
